Still one of my favorite photos; I was unhooking my camera line from my BCD and voila! I snapped a selfie! It almost looks like I am in space. I know—a space cadet! Not really. I love the lines in the photo.
This little guy is about 1/2 inch in size. It was just cruising over the sponge, stopping long enough for a cameo.
The conch obliged my request to show me its eyes while I waited patiently on the sea floor on the North Wall of Grand Cayman. Sea you again, soon, PDD
I love finding these shrimp, as they like to hide inside the anemone stalks. I have to wave my hand over the anemone to get it to sway, and then try to capture the shrimp when they peek out at me. And sometimes, I don’t even know I have “captured” the image until I see it full size on my monitor. At depth (60+ feet), I am never sure what color the anemone is until I see it on the computer, even with the strobe adding the full spectrum of light to the photo.
